Production Planner Opportunity

Are you a seasoned Production Planner looking for a new challenge? Do you have experience in Material Planning and Production Control? We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Planner to join our client, a global manufacturing company with a strong presence in the UK and globally.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our team. As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring that all parts are available for production on a daily basis. You will work closely with the Production Logistics Manager to create and maintain production plans, update SAP/MRP systems, and liaise with Customer Services to ensure customer requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain production plans in line with capacity and material restraints
  • Update SAP/MRP systems daily with changes
  • Liaise with Customer Services to ensure customer requirements are planned and processed correctly
  • Attend review meetings with Production to discuss production plans and progress
  • Proactively lead continuous improvement projects to improve production system efficiencies

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Production Planning or Material Control role
  • Experience of working with Material Resource Planning (MRP) and SAP or similar MRP systems
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
