Learning Support Assistant

About the Role:
Fife College is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that learners within our prison learning environment receive high-quality support and that individual needs and requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Learning Centre staff to provide academic support to learners
- Assist learners with their studies, including providing guidance on academic skills and strategies
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with learners, staff, and other stakeholders
- Contribute to the development and implementation of learning plans and strategies
- Monitor and report on learner progress and achievement
Requirements:
- Education to SVQ Level 3/HNC or equivalent (SCQF Level 7) in a relevant field
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Qualification in Supporting Adult Literacy Learners (SCQF Level 6) or other community-based learning qualification
- Good communication and team-working skills
- Ability to be professional, flexible, and responsible
- Experience of working with learners with Learning Difficulties and Disabilities
