Job Overview:

Yorkshire Water is seeking a skilled Waste Field Specialist to join our Customer Field Services department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our sewerage network in Wakefield, Halifax, and Huddersfield areas.

About the Role:

This is a permanent opportunity working 37 hours per week, with rotational work patterns. The successful candidate will be expected to take part in an out-of-hours standby rota, requiring flexibility outside of core hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to internal flooding and restricted toilet use.
  • Proactively investigate sewerage network issues to prevent escapes and pollution.
  • Collaborate with other Yorkshire Water teams and contracted partners to resolve operational issues on the sewer network.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide feedback using internal IT systems.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a customer service-related role with face-to-face communication.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driving license (no more than 6 points).
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and pass strict medical criteria.
