Job Summary

Obstetrics and Gynaecology Registrar Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a doctor to join our team as an Obstetrics and Gynaecology Registrar. The successful candidate will work at Registrar level in providing clinical care for women in the outpatient and inpatient setting.

The expectation is that the post holder will work at the appropriate level towards obtaining CESR in obstetrics and gynaecology. There will be annual appraisals and assessment of progress.

Main Responsibilities

The post holder will be responsible for conducting clinical practice in accordance with contractual requirements and within the parameters of the Trust's service plans.

They will also provide effective leadership to all staff engaged in these specialties, sustain and develop teaching and research wherever appropriate, and undertake all work in accordance with the Trust's procedures and operating policies.

Clinical Responsibilities

The post holder will work at Registrar level in providing clinical care for women in the outpatient and inpatient setting. The expectation is that the post holder will work at the appropriate level towards obtaining CESR in obstetrics and gynaecology.

Essential

  • Full GMC Registration
  • Medical Degree

Education

Essential

  • Medical Education in a University Recognised by GMC

Desirable

  • ALS/ATLS/APLS
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development

Experience

Essential

  • Completion of Foundation Training or Equivalent
  • Able to Work Full Shift Pattern

Desirable

  • 6 Months Post Foundation Year Experience
