Job Title: MPLD Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Prospero Teaching. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and a passion for providing high-quality support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one and group support to children with complex needs
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans to meet the needs of each child
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment
  • Use Team Teach, Moving and Handling, PECS, and Makaton training to support children with complex needs
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with SEN in a school setting
  • Training or experience in Team Teach, Moving and Handling, PECS, or Makaton
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently
  • Commitment to working 5 days a week
