We are working closely with a Local Authority in Cardiff to assist with the appointment of a Social Work Resource Assistant, on a 3-month contract, which may be extended at the client's discretion. Please submit your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £12.38 - £15.48 per hour

Hours Per Week: 18.50

Summary:

This role is required to provide support to Social Workers and Managers across Adult Services, working within current legislation and following Council policies, procedures, and practice.

Responsibilities:

  • To contact service users or their representatives to notify them of new care packages starting.
  • To contact service users or their representatives to complete 4-weekly phone reviews following changes to care packages.
  • To complete relevant forms and tasks on the Carefirst database and make recommendations to the allocated Social Worker following completion of reviews.
  • To assist with incoming calls from service users or their representatives as part of the duty process, signposting, and/or passing on relevant information to Social Workers.
  • To support teams and managers with updating, maintaining social work pending/allocation lists and provide statistical information as required.

Experience:

  • Experience of dealing with the public.
  • Experience of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience of working to Legislative/Corporate procedures, processes, and guidelines.

Please note:

  • You should be available to work immediately or at short notice.
  • You should have the right to work in the U.K.
  • This role requires a basic DBS.
