Equal Opportunities
At Transport for Wales, we're committed to creating an inclusive work environment where everyone can grow and succeed. We value diversity and believe it plays a crucial role in making us stronger, understanding our customers better, making better decisions, and being more innovative.
Who we are
We're on a mission to transform transport in Wales and make it fit for the future. This includes rail, bus, walking, and cycling. We want to inspire a nation to change the way it travels, ensuring we all travel more sustainably and help combat the climate emergency.
We're an open and inclusive place to work, where everyone is welcome. Our people are supported to reach their full potential, and we want to create an environment where they can grow and succeed.
Role responsibilities
We're recruiting for a Retail Fraud Assistant to deliver components of the TfW revenue protection strategy. This includes compiling work packages for investigation and providing support for such investigations, including prosecution case files as appropriate. The role will also support the wider revenue protection remit and interface with internal and external stakeholders, while providing some administrative support to the team.
Responsibilities include:
- Analyse data obtained from scans to identify trends in digital fraud and reduce harm to the business.
- Prepare evidence packs from scan data for each individual offender.
- Design and maintain tailored contact templates for each individual workstream.
- Compile and maintain records containing information of all contact with offenders and up to date progress of each individual case, handled in line with GDPR.
Who we're looking for
We're seeking someone who is fully conversant with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. They must also be an outstanding oral and written communicator, customer-centric, and highly numeric. The ability to speak/write Welsh would be a great addition to your application, but it's not essential for this role.
Transport for Wales supports and promotes the use of the Welsh Language by employees and will encourage them to develop, improve, and maintain their Welsh Language skills. We fully support our people who want to improve their Welsh language skills, and personal development for Welsh Language skills are offered in a variety of ways, such as online learning, classroom courses, and funding attendance at local community courses.
