About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead AWS DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team at Amber Labs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable infrastructure solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Implement AWS Infrastructure Solutions: Utilize AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS, and more to build scalable and secure infrastructure.
  • Develop and Manage CI/CD Pipelines: Create automated application deployment and release processes using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use tools like Terraform to ensure consistency and reproducibility of environments.
  • Set Up and Manage Containerized Applications: Leverage Docker and Kubernetes to build, configure, and monitor containerized applications.
  • Monitor and Optimize System Performance: Utilize tools like Dynatrace, AWS CloudWatch, and Prometheus to monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Implement Security Best Practices: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations by implementing security best practices.
  • Enable Data Replication and Archival Processes: Support robust data management strategies by implementing data replication and archival processes.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Infrastructure Issues: Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements, prioritize tasks, and drive project delivery.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Related Field: Equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Proven Experience as a Lead DevOps Engineer: Focus on AWS cloud environments.
  • Strong Understanding of AWS Services: Including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Route 53, Lambda, and RDS.
  • Experience with Multi-Cloud Environments: Hosting on both public and private clouds.
  • Proficiency in Containerization Technologies: Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or Amazon ECS.
  • Experience Setting Up Systems from Scratch: Emphasizing reliability, availability, and security.
  • Proficiency in Scripting Languages: Python, Bash, or Golang for automation tasks.
  • Hands-On Experience with Configuration Management Tools: Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Familiarity with Observability and Monitoring Tools: Dynatrace, AWS CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Prometheus, or Grafana.
  • Strong Experience with Data Replication and Data Archival Strategies.
  • Experience with Version Control Systems: Particularly Git.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Excellent Communication and Collaboration Skills: Work effectively in a team environment.
  • AWS Certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, are a plus.
