**About the Role**

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) teaching assistant to join our team, working across Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1), and Key Stage 2 (KS2) in primary schools across Greenwich.

As an SEN teaching assistant, you will provide one-to-one and group support for pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and sensory impairments.

You will work collaboratively with class teachers and SENCOs to adapt lesson plans and deliver tailored support. You will foster a safe and inclusive learning environment, ensuring all children feel valued and supported.

The successful candidate will have experience in working with children with SEN and be knowledgeable about SEN strategies, including Makaton, PECS, or sensory regulation techniques. A Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification is advantageous but not essential.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide one-to-one and group support for pupils with special educational needs.
  • Work collaboratively with class teachers and SENCOs to adapt lesson plans.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Encourage independence and confidence in pupils through targeted interventions.
