We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to join our Code team, to help build and support internal and external web applications and APIs to support our game engine team.

The successful candidate will join a small team and use their specialist JavaScript knowledge to be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and system design to implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

We're looking for someone who has experience with both front-end and back-end languages, development frameworks, and third-party libraries.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator in order to help other teams fix bugs and resolve issues.

This role is based at our headquarters in Oxford, offering a creative and relaxed atmosphere where teamwork drives our success.

We believe in the power of face-to-face collaboration and encourage working from our headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build and deploy web applications to support our in-house engine team.
  • Maintain and improve existing tools.
  • Develop integrations with third-party APIs.
  • Support our application deployments.
  • Communicate with other teams.

Requirements:

  • Experience with NodeJS, JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • A knowledge of front-end frameworks like Vue and React.
  • Experience with databases such as MySQL and no SQL database.
  • Familiarity with AWS or equivalent cloud environments.
  • Experience with software development tools and version control systems (Git/Perforce desirable).
  • Demonstrated capacity to quickly learn new technologies.
  • Comfortable modifying/maintaining applications written in other languages (such as PHP) is desirable.
  • Experience writing serverless functions (AWS Lambda/Azure Functions) is a bonus.
