About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced English Specialist to join our team at Teaching Personnel. In this role, you will provide high-level assistance in the delivery of English lessons, working closely with students to enhance their learning experience in a secondary alternative provision setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning and delivery of engaging English lessons, utilizing effective teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Work with small groups or individual students to provide targeted support, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist in the assessment and tracking of student progress, implementing strategies to support students with varying learning abilities.
  • Develop and implement creative lesson plans to enhance student engagement and academic progress.
  • Collaborate with teachers to ensure seamless integration of support services, promoting a cohesive learning experience.

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, with a strong background in English curriculum and teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience in a secondary or alternative provision setting is highly desirable, with a commitment to supporting the educational and personal development of all students.
  • A strong understanding of child protection policies and procedures, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
