Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Shift Engineer to work alongside our established engineering team at one of our client's data centre sites in Slough. As a Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for providing both reactive and planned maintenance within the data centre.

Key Responsibilities
  1. To carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in accordance with set schedules, ensuring engineering standards are maintained to maximise operational effectiveness and reliability of the Plant and associated electrical systems.
  2. To adhere to set engineering standards in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements.
  3. To ensure onsite Quality Assurance procedures are adhered to and maintain accurate records/documentation associated with the electrical aspects of the PPM and plant.
  4. To respond promptly and effectively to all electrically related reactive maintenance issues and help desk requests.
  5. To co-ordinate visiting specialist sub-contractors associated with electrical aspects of the PPM schedules.
  6. To respond to call-outs and cover breakdowns and emergencies associated with the electrical services aspects of the contract as required.
  7. Electrical fault diagnosis associated with the PPM or Reactive maintenance of the site.
  8. Repair of electrical systems and controls associated with Heating and Ventilating Building Services.
  9. To proactively work towards the growth of the contract into other service provisions such as Mechanical and Electrical, Like for Like replacements, Project works, FM Soft Services etc.
