Job Description:


This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Supplier Quality Engineer to join our client's global team. As a key member of their quality assurance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring suppliers meet industry standards, the company's stringent requirements, and project specifications. This position involves travel to customer sites, so candidates must be willing to travel and stay away when business requires.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Oversee internal and supplier-facing processes to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Support production schedules by managing external inspection tasks, ensuring alignment with delivery requirements and client expectations.
  • Perform in-process, notified, and final inspections at supplier premises.
  • Apply your supply chain experience and utilize supplier performance data to assist in supplier selection and mitigate risks effectively.
  • Attend and facilitate kick-off meetings with suppliers to ensure a clear understanding of project requirements and expectations.
  • Liaise with relevant departments to resolve conflicts and clarify specifications, ensuring smooth project execution.


Requirements:


To succeed in this role, you will need:



  • An engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification aligned with relevant experience.
  • Experience in an inspection environment with qualifications such as NDT, CSWIP, NACE, or CompEx.
  • Proficiency in working with various materials and processes including castings, forgings, fabrications, machining, electrical, and paint.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with SAP or similar systems.
  • Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis.
  • A valid UK driving licence.
