Job Title: Lead Data Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer to join our team in Manchester. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines using Azure Data Lake, Databricks, and Azure Data Factory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small team of data engineers in the development and maintenance of data pipelines
  • Collaborate with the analytics team, architecture team, and stakeholders to ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability
  • Design and implement data pipelines using Azure Data Lake, Databricks, and Azure Data Factory
  • Work with Python, SQL, Spark, and Databricks to build, rebuild, and maintain data pipelines
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, and Version Control

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in leading a team or projects
  • Strong knowledge of Azure environment, including Azure Data Lake, Databricks, and Azure Data Factory
  • Experience with Python, SQL, Spark, and Databricks
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with 2 days per week in Central Manchester
