Job Title: Senior Estimator

TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join their team in Glasgow.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to undertake cost planning and estimating across all aspects of construction for major projects. The successful candidate will work with project teams to prepare accurate cost estimates, assess labour, plant, and material requirements, and identify value generation opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for major projects
  • Assess labour, plant, and material requirements
  • Identify value generation opportunities
  • Monitor project costs against estimates
  • Provide feedback and support benchmarking data generation

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of Cost Planning and Estimating processes and techniques
  • Knowledge of Cost Analysis, Cost Modelling, and Benchmarking processes and techniques
  • Qualified in Cost Planning, Estimating, and/or Quantity Surveying
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant successful experience of the provision of Cost Planning/Estimating in a project environment
  • Good communication, analytical, presentation, and reporting skills
  • Strong IT skills including MS Excel

Desirable:

  • Qualified to a professional standard in cost planning, estimating, and quantity surveying through membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent body
  • Educated to degree level
  • SC Cleared to start, Sole UK National
