Company Overview
RocketMill is a dynamic digital agency that pushes the boundaries of online experiences.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced UX designer to join our growing, multidisciplinary team in London and Brighton. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on challenging projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams and liaising with key stakeholders.
Salary
The estimated salary for this position is £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Job Description
This is a senior-level UX design role that requires a strong background in user-centred design, interaction design, and usability best practices. The ideal candidate will have experience working with prototyping tools like Figma, website CMS, and front-end coding skills (HTML, CSS, JS).
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively across the design process from ideation to high-fidelity prototyping, providing seamless and visually appealing user experiences across various devices using Figma.
- Plan your approach in response to a brief, taking time to understand client requirements and relevant user needs.
- Ensure designs are fully QA'd and approved by other members of the team before sharing with the end client.
- Discuss feedback openly with clients and the team to resolve changes into the best possible design solution.
- Execute UX and content changes via a CMS (AEM) in a timely manner, adhering to client-defined processes and brand specifications.
- Support user research activities, UX audits, client workshops, and translate learnings into actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with CRO team members to design and iterate on solutions for ongoing conversion experimentation projects.
- Champion digital accessibility by incorporating inclusive design principles and adhering to WCAG guidelines.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and deliverables.
Skills Profile
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Demonstrable user-centred design experience and proven ability to translate briefs into effective design solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of interaction design and usability best practices.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
- Proven experience in using a website CMS to build pages – not just to edit content.
- Proficiency in front-end coding (HTML, CSS, JS).
- A keen interest in learning how to conduct website audits, analyse data, and conduct user research activities.
- Familiarity with conversion rate optimisation (CRO) concepts and A/B testing methodologies.
- Knowledge of digital accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and inclusive design practices.
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively convey design concepts and rationale to diverse audiences and key stakeholders.
- Good time management skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- A creative and analytical mindset to balance problem-solving and strategic thinking.
- A keen interest in the latest industry advancements and innovations in design and technology.
Benefits
As a RocketMill employee, you can expect:
- A competitive salary.
- Ongoing professional development opportunities.
- A dynamic, multidisciplinary team environment.
- The chance to work on challenging projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Flexible working arrangements, including remote work options.
- Regular team social events and company-wide celebrations.
