Our EMEA Energy team spans multiple European offices, boasting over 25+ experts specialising in the economics of the energy sector, including electricity, gas, emissions trading, and renewables. Our primary focus lies in Europe and the Middle East, with projects spanning more than 25 countries annually.

With extensive expertise in the European energy market, we provide comprehensive services ranging from market design and regulatory issues to strategy development, market modelling, and expert work in civil and antitrust/competition proceedings.

In light of our expanding Energy practice, we seek an experienced Senior Consultant with several years of professional experience in energy consulting.

You will be responsible for working on both quantitative modelling and regulatory issues across various European projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Economic analysis of energy regulation and markets, focusing on their impacts on our clients.
  • Quantitative analysis using Excel, incorporating our energy-specific models and energy system modelling platforms.
  • Oversight of project day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless client communication.
  • Active participation in client meetings and conference calls.
  • Monitoring project progress.
  • Mentoring and supervising junior staff.

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • 4-8 years of relevant professional experience in the energy sector, particularly in consulting.
  • A Master's degree in Economics, Engineering, Finance, or Statistics.
  • Fluency in French and English languages (spoken and written). Knowledge of other European languages is desirable.
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
  • A working knowledge of statistical packages (R, Stata) or programming languages (VBA, Python, etc.) is advantageous.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality and accurate work.
  • Experience in managing and training junior team members.
  • Strong solution-oriented and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills, enabling effective prioritisation.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Familiarity with working within a collaborative environment.
