As a Senior Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients and their families, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide timely and effective patient-centered care.
About the RoleThis nursing role demands sound, evidence-based clinical knowledge of end-of-life care, as well as clear and effective communication skills. You will participate in the hospice's learning and development programs, working in partnership with other healthcare professionals and rotating to both day and night shifts.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and participate in planning timely and effective patient-centered care
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care
- Provide practical interventions, directing and working alongside Nursing Assistants, Student Nurses, and Volunteers
- Participate in the hospice's learning and development programs
- Contribute to a positive, supportive, and professional working environment
We are looking for a candidate with:
- A good standard of education, minimum GCSE English & Maths or equivalent
- Registered Nurse qualification
- Experience of working in palliative care, preferably with a diploma in palliative care or working towards
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- A positive, assertive attitude to all aspects of work and development
As a Senior Nurse at St Catherine's Hospice, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, with access to ongoing training and development programs.
