Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Omega Resource Group. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our manufacturing processes and products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality standards and procedures for manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
  • Provide technical advice and counsel to cross-functional teams assigned to process improvement projects, ensuring that quality is integrated into all aspects of the manufacturing process.
  • Complete quality engineering assignments with minimal supervision, utilizing your expertise to identify and resolve quality-related issues.
  • Prepare and present materials to customer representatives and/or facility employees as required, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Formulate and implement quality assurance procedures, policies, and standards to ensure the highest level of quality in our products and processes.

Requirements:

  • HNC/HND or Degree in Engineering with a focus on quality assurance or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in the aerospace industry, with a strong understanding of quality assurance principles and practices.
  • Skills:
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and requirements to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of quality standards.
  • Knowledge of machining, assembly operations, gauging, SPC, APQP, and quality assurance systems (ISO 9001, AS9100) to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
  • Experience in performing quality audits to identify and resolve quality-related issues.
  • Experience using PC configured with MS Windows OS and familiarity with MS Office software to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Project management experience is preferred, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and prioritize tasks to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or Certified Quality Manager (CQMgr) certification is desired, demonstrating a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
