About the Role

As a key member of the RSM team, you will be responsible for leading the payroll operations team to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services to our clients. You will work closely with the Payroll Manager to develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accurate and timely production of payroll for various clients in accordance with statutory regulations.
  • Manage the team's compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Monitor the team's KPIs and profitability.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members and other teams/offices as required.

About the Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll calculations, deadlines, and UK legislation and requirements, including workplace pensions. They will also have strong numerical abilities and proven experience in MS Office, particularly Excel. Supervision or management experience is desirable, as is knowledge of month-end and year-end returns and balancing.
