Financial Director for Evangelical Charity

A forward-thinking Financial Director is sought by JobsBatch to lead the finance function of a dynamic charity based in the UK.

As a key member of the Executive team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies that align with the charity's vision to help local churches make Jesus known. Your expertise will ensure effective financial management, including preparing reports, monitoring risks, and managing cash flow.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in financial leadership, with experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and risk management. You will be able to communicate complex financial information clearly to stakeholders, both internally and externally.

In addition to your technical skills, you will be a passionate advocate for the charity's mission and values. As an active member of a local church, you will be able to articulate the charity's vision to external contacts, including supporters, key donors, and grant-making trusts.

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the charity's vision
• Prepare and present financial reports to the Executive team and Trustees
• Manage and mitigate financial risks, ensuring adequate controls are in place
• Lead online prayer meetings and staff meetings, promoting a culture of evangelism within the organisation
• Build relationships with faith-based key donors, funding organisations, and stakeholders

• Proven experience in financial leadership, preferably in a charity or non-profit sector
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to articulate complex financial information
• Experience with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, and financial management software
• Passionate about the charity's mission and values, with a strong commitment to evangelism
