About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Hair and Beauty Technician. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for dispensing products and equipment, maintaining stock levels, and providing exceptional customer service to our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispense products and equipment for class and salon use, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels, ordering and receiving supplies as needed, and conducting regular stocktakes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, staff, and visitors, responding to queries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Support the reception team, answering phone calls, booking appointments, and managing administrative tasks.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment, promoting a culture of respect and professionalism.
Requirements
  • Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy, or equivalent.
  • Good general education, e.g., GCSEs, NVQs, or equivalent.
  • Related qualifications, such as business, retail, hairdressing, or beauty therapy.
  • Assessor qualification, desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Basic knowledge of hairdressing, beauty, or holistic therapies, desirable.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary, £17,400 (pro rata) plus pension.
  • Fixed-term contract, 10 months, with opportunities for extension.
  • 35 hours per week, 37 weeks per year (term-time only).
