Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching & Curriculum Development:
    • Deliver high-quality educational experiences for undergraduate students through engaging lectures and seminars across core Education and Childhood modules.
    • Develop and revise curriculum materials to align with current educational standards and frameworks, enhancing student learning outcomes.
    • Cater to diverse student needs by utilizing varied teaching techniques.
  • Student Assessment & Support:
    • Provide guidance and support throughout student projects, internships, and field placements.
    • Establish fair and transparent assessment methods, offering timely feedback to facilitate student growth and development.
    • Act as a personal tutor, supporting students academically and pastorally.
  • Research & Scholarship:
    • Engage in scholarly activities that contribute to the field of Education and Childhood Studies, advancing knowledge and best practices.
    • Collaborate with colleagues on research projects, publishing findings that impact teaching and practice.
  • Networking & Partnerships:
    • Maintain relationships with educational providers, schools, and early childhood centers for student placements, research, and community projects.
    • Promote excellence and visibility in conferences and networks relevant to Education and Childhood Studies education and research.
  • Administrative & Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure seamless administrative processes, including student admissions, timetabling, and assessment records.
    • Contribute to program reviews and accreditation processes, ensuring compliance with quality assurance guidelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Qualifications:
    • A Master's degree in Education, Early Childhood, or a related discipline.
    • A teaching qualification or willingness to pursue one.
  • Experience:
    • Demonstrable experience in teaching or training in Education and Childhood Studies at the higher education level.
    • Practical experience within the education or early childhood sectors is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles.
    • Capable of handling complex situations related to student needs with sensitivity.
