Rural ISVA Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic individual to join our team as a Rural Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA). As an ISVA, you will provide specialist support and advocacy to victims and survivors of rape or sexual assault living in rural communities across Avon and Somerset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide trauma-informed support and advocacy to victims and survivors of sexual violence.
• Work closely with the Bridge (SARC), CYPS, Police, CPS, safeguarding, and other agencies to ensure a survivor-focused service.
• Develop and maintain a good understanding of the traumatic impact of sexual assault and rape.
• Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Utilize a flexible, creative, and trauma-informed approach to meet survivors' needs.

Requirements:

• Empathy with the needs of victims and survivors of sexual violence in rural communities.
• Understanding of the impact of sexual violence and abuse on victims and survivors.
• Ability to learn new skills and commit to learning in the workplace.
• Current full driving license and access to an appropriate vehicle.
