Barchester Healthcare is a leading healthcare provider with over 224 homes and hospitals across the UK. We are committed to delivering high-quality care and hospitality to our residents, and we are seeking a skilled Chef to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for a qualified Chef who is passionate about delivering hotel/restaurant standards without the split shifts and long weeks. As a Bank Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavoursome, and well-balanced menus while working with residents to tailor menus around their preferences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in creating menus and managing the kitchen
  • Work with fresh produce to deliver high-quality and wholesome dishes
  • Help create a warm, efficient, and fun environment in the kitchen
  • Manage stock control and work within budget
  • Assist in leading and motivating a team
Requirements
  • City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in helping lead and inspire a team
  • Good understanding of nutrition and working with fresh seasonal food
  • Good understanding of HACCP
