We are seeking a highly motivated Maths Mentor to join our team at Axiom Maths. As a Maths Mentor, you will play a vital role in delivering our maths circles programme at Barnsley Academy. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality and engaging maths sessions to small groups of pupils, promoting a love of maths and encouraging them to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver maths circles sessions, preparing in advance using Axiom Maths training videos and mentor guidance.
- Support pupils to identify as mathematicians and feel part of a wider community of mathematicians.
- Report weekly on pupils' attendance and provide feedback on curriculum resources.
- Feedback termly on pupils' learning in the form of progress reports.
Requirements:
- Passion for maths and a strong conceptual understanding of the subject.
- Pursuing or having completed a STEM degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with young people.
- Alignment with the Axiom Maths ethos.
What We Offer:
- A competitive fee of £45 per session, inclusive of preparation, delivery, and reporting.
