About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team in Alnwick, Northumberland. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal plant performance
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults using technical drawings and documentation
  • Work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision, managing time and resources to meet deadlines
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
  • Participate in an out-of-hours standby rota to provide emergency support

Requirements

  • Time-served Mechanical Technician with ONC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
  • Proven experience in maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Full UK driving license
