Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered General Nurse to join our team at The London Clinic's Digestive Diseases Unit. As a Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high standards of patient-centered care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver individualized patient care of the highest standard, acting as the named nurse and ensuring assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation are in line with evidence-based practices and the Clinic's policies.
- Promote safe practice and professional conduct, and ensure legibility and accuracy of nursing records.
- Organize workload in line with clinical priorities, and establish good working relationships with specialist practitioners and the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective care and treatment of patients.
- Contribute to research and development programs, as well as uphold quality initiatives that improve customer/patient care, and participate in the audit process where appropriate.
- Regularly participate in department meetings to enhance team communication.
- Registered General Nurse with valid NMC registration.
- Post-registration experience in general nursing settings, caring for acute surgical patients.
- Experience in gastrointestinal and/or colorectal surgery would be desirable but not essential, as full training is provided.
- Competent IV giver with experience of epidural, venepuncture/cannulation, and ECG recordings.
- Excellent communication and time management skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Respectful to a diverse range of patients from various cultures and backgrounds, with the confidence to assess situations and make clinical decisions appropriately.
