Job Summary:The successful candidate will have the opportunity to establish a new team and project management function from the ground up. Once in place, the Head of Projects will oversee the management and execution of all projects across the organisation, including both technology-driven and operational initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a comprehensive project management strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of a portfolio of projects, ensuring they meet the standards for quality, timelines, and budget
- Establish and enforce project management methodologies, standards, and best practices across the organisation
- Lead and manage a team of project managers and other project staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the project management team

- Oversee the resolution of project issues, conflicts, and obstacles that may impact project outcomes
- Implement robust risk management practices to minimise the impact of unforeseen challenges on project delivery
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered within the approved financial parameters
- Monitor project costs and financial performance, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track project progress, quality, and success
- Prepare and present regular project performance reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and identify areas for future improvement
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the project management function, encouraging innovation and the adoption of best practices
- Lead initiatives to enhance project management processes, tools, and techniques
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging practices in project management, integrating relevant advancements into the organisation's practices
