MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:

To provide a comprehensive electrical maintenance service to ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems and equipment. This includes proactive inspections, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, as well as emergency response to electrical faults.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Carry out regular inspections of electrical systems and equipment to identify potential faults and take corrective action to prevent downtime and ensure safety.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubricating and cleaning electrical equipment, to ensure optimal performance and extend the life of the equipment.
  • Respond promptly to electrical faults and emergencies, carrying out repairs and maintenance as required to minimize downtime and ensure the safety of personnel and equipment.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to optimize electrical system performance and reduce the risk of electrical faults.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on electrical maintenance and repair to other departments and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and standards for electrical maintenance and repair.

QUALIFICATIONS / KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • 17th /18th Edition Electrical
  • City and Guilds NVQ3 (or Equivalent)
  • Testing & Inspection C&G 2391, 2394/5
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • Approved Persons, desirable
  • PASMA – As Required
  • IPAF- As Required
