Senior Accountant

We are a forward-thinking established firm of Chartered Accountants, seeking an Accounts Senior to join our growing team in Chichester on a hybrid basis, with 3 days in the office and 2 from home.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a diverse portfolio of clients from sole traders to multi-million-pound companies, ensuring their accounts compliance and other requirements.
- Prepare accounts for companies, partnerships, LLP's and sole traders, and prepare tax returns and computations.
- Review VAT returns and track the progress of work, maintaining suitable communication levels with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct research and address issues for upward communication in more complex clients and/or higher risk aspects of accounts work.
- Complete administration on client account files and set up relevant file reviews.
- Review work of Accounts Assistants where agreed and assist other service line members as required.
- Prepare bills and monitor WiP for managers and above when required.
We are ideally looking for someone with previous practice experience of at least 2-3 years, holding a professional qualification such as ACCA or ACA, or you could be QBE, although study support may be offered if required. You will also possess excellent communication and organisational skills.
An understanding of systems such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks and IRIS would be an advantage.
