Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at Compass Group UK&I. As a key member of our catering team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and contributing to the success of our business.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will have the chance to develop your skills and experience in food preparation, presentation, and customer service. You will be working as part of a close-knit team, supporting each other to achieve our goals and provide an excellent dining experience for our clients and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering Exceptional Customer Service: Providing a warm welcome to all clients and customers, responding promptly to their needs, and ensuring that they have a positive experience with our catering services.
- Preparing High-Quality Food: Preparing and presenting delicious meals and snacks that meet our high standards, using fresh ingredients and adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Supporting the Team: Working collaboratively with the rest of the team to ensure that the kitchen runs smoothly, that tasks are completed efficiently, and that the highest standards of quality and cleanliness are maintained.
- Handling Transactions: Operating the cash register accurately and efficiently, handling customer payments, and maintaining accurate records of transactions.
- Maintaining a Safe and Healthy Environment: Adhering to health and safety regulations, reporting any incidents or hazards, and contributing to a safe and healthy working environment.
About You:
- Positive Attitude: A can-do attitude, a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, and a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience in a similar role or in a related industry, although not essential, would be beneficial.
- Reliability and Time Management: Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Safety Focus: A strong focus on safety, with the ability to identify potential hazards and take proactive steps to prevent accidents.
