We are seeking a Safety and Environment Regulatory Compliance Expert to join our QSSHE team in Norwich. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the business remains compliant with relevant statutory provisions, codes, and standards.

This role reports directly to our Assurance Manager and involves coordinating internal auditing and monitoring activities to ensure they are robust and in line with external stakeholders and Perenco UK processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing and delivering the PUK-SNS Assurance Programme.
  • Coordinating risk-based assurance (internal and external), including compliance with legal and other requirements.
  • Maintaining relevant auditing tools to collect, analyze, and review performance.
  • Engaging with site management to provide audit status/output findings.
  • Reviewing leading and lagging metrics and insights from internal sources and external data.
  • Undertaking assurance activities across all sites to establish adherence to company requirements and regulatory standards and legislation.
  • Supporting improvements in the implementation of the Safety and Environmental Management System (SEMS).

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent qualification.
  • 5+ years of experience within a high-hazard industry, ideally with onshore or offshore Oil & Gas experience.
  • Understanding of offshore legislation is desirable.
  • QMS ISO 9001 Internal Auditor qualification or equivalent is desirable.
  • Root Cause Analysis Specialist certification is desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in writing and editing reports.
  • Ability to interact with senior management.
  • Drive and passion to champion Health & Safety.
  • Excellent communication skills.
