Job Title: Satellite Systems Engineer

Encompass Digital Media, Inc. is seeking a skilled Satellite Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our broadcast engineering team, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of our satellite systems, including new installations and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, price, and identify specialist contractors for new satellite installations and system upgrades.
  • Provide service management data, including service availability statistics, as part of monthly customer reports.
  • Carry out detailed system performance analysis at Woofferton and overseas sites.
  • Present system performance and service availability information internally and to end clients.
  • Detailed knowledge of DVB coding and modulation systems, IP networking, SNMP, and remote monitoring and control systems.
  • Ability to travel and support Encompass satellite installations around the world.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Experience with cloud-based software and IP-based transmission systems.

Requirements:

  • Detailed knowledge of DVB coding and modulation systems.
  • Detailed knowledge of IP networking, SNMP, and remote monitoring and control systems.
  • Ability to travel and support Encompass satellite installations around the world.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Experience with cloud-based software and IP-based transmission systems.
