About the Role

The successful candidate will work as a Support Secretary in the Pathology Department, providing administrative support to the team. This role involves managing diagnostic reports and patient correspondence, working closely with the Office Manager, Medical Secretaries, and the Consultant team to meet all service requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily administrative tasks, ensuring timely completion of reports and correspondence.
  • Collaborate with the Office Manager, Medical Secretaries, and the Consultant team to meet service requirements.
  • Provide high-level support to medical secretaries, Consultants, and other staff.
  • Offer flexible cover/support for secretarial colleagues during periods of sickness, annual leave, etc.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for telephone inquiries from patients and dispatch reports to external hospitals.
