Overview:

Blue Legal, a global law firm, is seeking an experienced Chief Marketing Officer to drive business development initiatives across six key sectors. The successful candidate will lead the marketing and business development team, ensuring alignment with the firm's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership: Manage the In-Group marketing and business development team, setting clear objectives, conducting appraisals, and delivering high-quality support across all sectors.
  2. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with sector leaders to develop and implement business development plans, ensuring each group's objectives align with the firm's overall strategy.
  3. Proposal Management: Lead the drafting and management of proposals, bids, panels, and marketing materials for client opportunities.
  4. Budget Management: Provide guidance on budget management for the Groups, ensuring alignment with business development priorities.
  5. Process Improvement: Improve processes and foster knowledge sharing between teams to enhance efficiency and best practices.
  6. Reporting: Regularly report on business development activities to senior management and sector teams.
  7. Client Engagement: Lead client engagement efforts, including client listening initiatives and relationship meetings.
  8. Branding: Oversee the implementation of branding and PR campaigns to position the firm and its sector groups as thought leaders.
  9. Directory Submission: Manage the directory submission process, ensuring accurate representation across sectors.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: 10-15 years of experience in marketing and BD, ideally within professional services.
  2. Leadership Skills: Proven leadership, team management, and strategic thinking skills.
  3. Commercial Focus: Strong commercial focus with excellent project management and organisational skills.
  4. Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).

Salary Information:

The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
