Job Overview

As a Management Accountant at Myerson Limited, you will oversee day-to-day management reporting aspects of the Finance function. This hands-on role requires preparation and analysis of financial data, including balance sheet reconciliations, budgets, cash-flow forecasts and general financial management reports.

  • Preparing and analysing management accounts and business progress reports (£45,000 - £55,000 per annum)
  • Balance sheet reconciliations, including the preparation of accruals and prepayments; fixed asset register maintenance
  • Preparing and analysing budgets, cash-flow forecasts and general financial management reports
  • Monitoring and managing cash flow and debt and WIP control processes and outstanding value of work
  • Reporting on key performance indicators and trends influencing business performance and developing measures and initiatives to help drive improvement
  • Undertaking financial administration
  • Leading on external accounting and SRA Account Rules audits
  • Dealing with taxation matters concerning the company
  • Interrogating SQL databases to perform data analysis on an ad hoc basis
  • Improving data dashboards by utilising Microsoft Power BI or equivalent
  • Assisting with the evaluation of financial software and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Assisting the Finance Director and working closely with the Head Legal Cashier in reviewing, assessing, monitoring and refining internal financial procedures and controls
  • Acting as first point of contact in relation to financial queries
  • Responsibility for cost management and overseeing spend with external suppliers
