Support Assistant for Children with Complex Needs

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled teaching assistant to join a specialist school in Croydon, supporting children and young people with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs.
Role Requirements- GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above.
- A high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults.
- The ability to use relevant technology/equipment.
This role involves supporting secondary age pupils experiencing behavioural, emotional or learning difficulties, and/or social communication difficulties including ASD, SEMH and other learning needs. The successful candidate will work with the class teacher to support assessment and evidencing learning and create stimulating learning environments.
About the SchoolThis behaviour-based Multi-Academy Trust of special schools offers exceptional education and support for traumatised children and young people with SEMH, autism, and challenging behaviour. The school has an established and experienced leadership team and a dedicated team of teachers, support staff, and therapists.
Compensation and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this role is £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. The school offers good opportunities for personal and career development.
