Business Development Manager Opportunity

Sharpsmart UK is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our fast-paced and high-achieving sales team. As a key member of our Commercial team, you will be responsible for developing purposeful relationships with NHS and private healthcare stakeholders to drive sales of our Sharpsmart services.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a leading provider of healthcare waste management solutions, with a focus on targeted Key Decision Makers (KDMs). You will work closely with our internal teams to implement the Sharpsmart system across your territory, leveraging your product knowledge and selling skills to maximise sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with NHS and private healthcare stakeholders to establish an informed knowledge of clinical data and market trends.
  • Create new business opportunities by investigating accounts and establishing relationships with relevant clinical and procurement stakeholders.
  • Manage your territory by delivering strategic objectives into each of your targeted accounts, delivering impactful and actionable meetings and presentations.
  • Liaise with internal Field Service, Clinical Education, and Internal Sales teams to meet your targets.
  • Identify further upsell opportunities within healthcare waste management consultancy and clinical waste collection services.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable success and proven experience in healthcare waste sales (3+ years).
  • Proven experience of working with NHS and/or private healthcare stakeholder groups in a sales/development capacity.
  • Great communication skills with the ability to effectively manage projects.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise your own workload to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment while working with and supporting the wider team.
  • Able to identify knowledge gaps and development potentials.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Driving licence and willingness to travel with overnight stays.
