IT Security Expert for Secure Infrastructure Delivery

Prosource seeks a seasoned Information and Cyber Security expert to spearhead the delivery of secure IT infrastructure projects in Aberdeen or London (hybrid working).

About the Role
  • This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires expertise in information security integration, risk assessment, and mitigation.
  • You will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise across various projects to ensure secure IT service delivery.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in information and cyber security, preferably within the Oil and Gas sector. Experience with company divestments and integrations would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a SME for the Security function in support of ongoing integration activities.
  • Support the business to deliver secure and reliable IT services by conducting thorough risk assessments and implementing mitigating measures.
  • Deliver Enterprise-based Information and Cyber Security solutions that enable the creation of high-quality, secure IT infrastructures.
  • Collaborate with the Security team and stakeholders to protect IT infrastructure services from potential threats.
  • Provide SME-level security knowledge and design engineering to create project deliveries that meet the highest standards of security.

What You'll Achieve:

  • Spearhead the development of secure IT infrastructure projects that meet Prosource's objectives.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate testing of project deliverables prior to deployment.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, pragmatism, and enthusiasm within the IS teams.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience working within information and cyber security, ideally within the Oil and Gas sector.
  • Experience in company divestments and integrations would be advantageous.
  • Strong technical skills in security risk assessment, network architecture principles, web and email security technologies, cloud security, vulnerability management, and security logging and monitoring tools.
  • Ability to act proactively and escalate issues as required.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
