Job Summary

Avery Dennison is seeking a highly skilled Finance Controller to join our Solutions Group Controllership team. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting and controls processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Financial Planning and Budgeting: Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business decision-making.
  • Accounting Operations: Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and inventory/cost accounting.
  • Financial Controls and Compliance: Ensure compliance with global standard SOPs and policies, and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure reporting integrity.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead and motivate a team of financial professionals, providing guidance and training to ensure their continued professional development.
  • Business Partnership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including commercial sales, operations, and senior management, to drive business decisions and improve financial performance.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Qualified accountant with proven experience in a similar position, Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques, proficiency with financial statement analysis and projection, and experience with Microsoft Dynamics and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) system.
  • Personal Qualities: Good planning and organizational skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
