About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strong working relationships with suppliers to ensure that parts and materials are available when needed. This includes conducting supplier negotiations, agreeing price structures, and ensuring products meet required specifications and lead times.

  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with suppliers
  • Conduct supplier negotiations and agree price structure for parts and materials
  • Ensure products procured meet the required specifications and are delivered within lead time agreed

In addition to these key responsibilities, the Procurement Expert will also analyse cost parameters against budgets for all purchases, manage and monitor stock levels, and liaise with different departments across the business regarding procurement needs.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, applicants should have a minimum 3 years experience in a procurement role, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively. Experience in procuring electrical and mechanical products, as well as working with an ERP/MRP system, is highly desirable.
