Job Title: Group Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Group Financial Controller to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing and presenting financial data, overseeing cash flow, and handling currency exposure across multiple subsidiaries and jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating the preparation of monthly management accounts for multiple reporting entities in the UK and overseas.
  • Working with finance teams to ensure monthly reporting deadlines are met.
  • Reviewing subsidiary management accounts for quality, consistency, and timeliness.
  • Overseeing key balance sheet reconciliations across all subsidiary companies.
  • Managing intercompany reconciliation and settlement.
  • Consolidating subsidiary results and preparing Group Financial Statements.
  • Coordinating the group external audit and subsidiary audits with external overseas accountants and auditors.
  • Preparing UK statutory financial statements for multiple companies.
  • Managing the credit control process and liaising with the Legal department on recovery.
  • Working with the in-house Tax team to ensure compliance with international regulations.
  • Managing day-to-day finance operations, including sales ledger and purchase ledger.
  • Focusing on staff development and training.
Requirements:
  • Qualified accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
  • Min 7+ years' post-qualified experience working as a financial controller in a multi-company organisation.
  • Ability to review and manage financial data and present it clearly to various audiences.
  • Experience managing cash flow and currency exposure.
  • People management and development skills.
  • Proficiency with accounting software systems.
  • Experience with systems and process change is desirable.
  • Understanding of private equity capital structures and reporting is desirable.
  • Knowledge of overseas tax regimes is desirable.
