Quantitative Expert

As an Operational Researcher, you will play a key role in developing and integrating multi-fidelity computational frameworks for understanding operational effectiveness and risk. You will also utilise HPC systems to run large scale physics codes to support the generation of data driven models and underpin bespoke assessments.
About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled individual with excellent skills in Python or a similar programming language. You will be working on a range of disciplines including engineering, mathematics, remote sensing, and computational physics to provide operational analysis capability to our customer community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and integrating multi-fidelity computational frameworks for understanding operational effectiveness and risk.
- Utilisation of HPC systems to run large scale physics codes to support the generation of data driven models and underpin bespoke assessments.
- Presenting work at stakeholder meetings, conferences and supporting external collaborations in the UK and overseas.
Requirements:
- Excellent skills in Python or a similar programming language such as C++, Fortran or Java.
- Operational analysis and systems engineering.
- Statistics, machine learning, uncertainty quantification, data analysis or multi-objective optimisation.

Salary: £36,000 - £46,000 per annum depending on experience.
