Project Manager – Typhoon

BAE Systems is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead the delivery of the Typhoon Capability Upgrade Programme. As a key member of the Eurofighter Capability Team, you will be responsible for managing the programme's portfolio of capability contracts, including the Upgrade Programme and various supplementary contracts.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the delivery of the Typhoon Capability Upgrade Programme, ensuring timely and quality delivery of financial and delivery data.
- Liaise with the customer (Eurofighter/Netma) and internal CAMs – Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering and Commercial, supporting external meetings with key suppliers.
- Ensure quality and timely internal reporting of financial and delivery data, providing clear updates and performance statistics.
- Support the Typhoon Capability Upgrade Manager in delivering new bids through to RBA (Request for Bid Approval).
- Appropriately apply Life Cycle Management (LCM) – RBAs, TBRs (technical bid review) phases through to closure, ensuring appropriate tailoring.
- Be a Key Customer and European Partner Company (EPC) PoC within the European Typhoon business environment.
- Ensure all relevant report systems (COMPASS, PREDICT) are kept topical.
- Experienced in Project Management and the ability to problem solve complex tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to adapt style/approach to suit various levels across both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to deliver timely and accurate data with a keen eye on detail, working across organisational boundaries and employing different tools to drive performance.
- Ability to operate in a manner that drives effective teamwork, collaboration and engagement across customer, partners, external suppliers/teams, and internal suppliers/teams.
- Understanding and experience of the Financial, Commercial and Procurement processes and practices.
