About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Childcare Lawyer to join our team at Sellick Partnership. As a Childcare Lawyer, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and representation in care proceedings, child protection, and family law matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of care cases and pre-proceedings, providing expert advice and guidance to clients and stakeholders.
  • Advise clients on child protection, care proceedings, special guardianship, private law proceedings, fostering legislation, and adoption law.
  • Attend legal planning, PLO, and Gateway meetings to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  • Prepare for hearings and conduct advocacy in the Family Court, representing clients with confidence and expertise.
  • Draft threshold documents and other legal documents as required.
