Job Summary

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to take on a leadership role in financial planning and compliance.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely completion of accounts, VAT returns, and corporation tax returns.
  • Review and prepare work prepared by junior staff members, maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Develop and implement effective financial planning strategies for clients, including tax planning and registration for relevant taxes with HMRC.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date Company House records for clients, completing necessary forms and filings as required.
  • Process payroll for clients, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Cover for colleagues during periods of illness or absence, providing email cover for clients as needed.
  • Train and develop junior staff members, promoting career growth and development within the team.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with experience working towards an accounting qualification or being qualified by experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and stakeholders.

What We Offer

In return for your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive salary package, including:

  • An estimated annual salary of £45,000 - £60,000, depending on experience.
