Hours: 37.5 hours per week (typically 9am-5pm Monday to Friday)
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Studio Manager to lead our design and production team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in client service, management, and strategic thinking. They will be responsible for managing client expectations, leading the organisation of our image library, and overseeing the briefing/approval of drawings, samples, and care guides.
Key Responsibilities- Manage client expectations at all levels confidently
- Make key project-related decisions and call on the creative director/managing director only as required
- Quote and invoice proficiently using Xero and our quoting tool
- Understand and explain design/construction/finishing details and associated costs
- Lead the organisation of our image library, tearsheets, and other sales resources
- Manage multiple project requirements and define priorities/deadlines
- Ensure visibility of each client's commission in the production pipeline
- Keep the workshop informed and ensure information is up-to-date
- Oversee the briefing/approval of drawings, samples, and care guides before handing the project to the workshop
- Maintain oversight of the shipping process and ensure the most sustainable, efficient, and cost-effective solutions are chosen
- Optimise studio systems and processes
- Manage the development/wellbeing of the team
- Own sales/studio finances and liaise with production & finance managers on pricing
- Seek ways to reduce our impact on the environment and create a positive legacy
- Shape the structure of the overall team in conjunction with the production manager and workshop lead
- Teach studio members techniques to simplify their workloads/improve productivity and maintain work-life balance
- Ensure administrative/ad hoc tasks are delegated proficiently and completed satisfactorily
