About the Role:
Ramsay Health Care Limited is seeking a skilled Hospital Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Ashtead Hospital in Surrey. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program to ensure the hospital's facilities and equipment are in good working order.
- Conduct regular inspections and tests to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and equipment performance.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to develop and implement strategies to improve maintenance efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Provide technical support and guidance to hospital staff on maintenance-related issues.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external contractors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance services.
- Participate in health and safety initiatives to ensure a safe working environment for hospital staff and patients.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in hospital maintenance and engineering.
Requirements:
- Core tradesman skills in electrical, plumbing, and/or heating services.
- Demonstrated significant digital literacy and computer skills, especially in MS Office Word and Excel.
- Healthcare or similar facilities maintenance experience.
- Evidence of delivering refurbishment and build projects.
- City and Guilds qualification in a relevant building management, engineering, or facility services discipline or equivalent.
- ONC/BTEC in a relevant building management, engineering, or facility services discipline or equivalent.
- Routine minor painting and decorating skills (desirable).
- Some knowledge of IT cabling/socket installation and fault finding (desirable).
