Pharmaron is seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist Biophysics to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our Biophysics team, you will play a crucial role in driving innovative drug discovery projects through the application of advanced biophysical techniques.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, execute, and deliver on project goals, working independently to support biology projects.
- Demonstrate competency in core laboratory skills, including routine use of instrumentation and laboratory techniques, and an understanding of how your work influences drug discovery.
- Execute experiments, interpret results, and plan next steps to solve scientific issues, seeking guidance as needed.
- Communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure scientific work is reported via laboratory notebooks and presentations.
- Document and report results of experiments in a manner consistent with department practices and governing procedures.
- Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Biophysics, or a related field, or an M.S. with at least three years of relevant work experience, or a B.S. with five years of relevant work experience.
- Experience using biophysical techniques to analyze protein-protein interactions and protein-small molecule interactions.
- Practical experience with biophysical techniques such as Microscale Thermophoresis (MST), Isothermal Titration Calorimetry (ITC), and Differential Scanning Fluorimetry (DSF).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present rationale, key data, issues, and accomplishments to other members of the scientific team.
- Good fit with Pharmaron culture and values of highly collaborative, team-oriented research.
